お空からパパとママ見えてたよ
From the Sky, I Could See Mom and Dad
One evening, after dinner, we were relaxing as usual.
My son was sitting on my lap, watching his favorite Mrs. Green Apple videos, part of his daily routine.
My husband had the day off and was doing the dishes.
Usually, my son suddenly starts talking about “the sky,” as if he remembers something.
But that day, I decided to ask him something I had been wondering about.
Me: Hey, I’ve been wanting to ask you—could you see Mom and Dad from the sky?
Son: Yes, I could!
Me: Oh really? Then here’s a question! What was Mom doing?
Son: Mom was working.
Me: Yes, I was! Then do you know what kind of work I was doing?
Son: A studying job!
(By the way, we have never told him specifically what kind of work we do.)
- I actually teach English to children.
Me: That’s right! Amazing, you got it! Then what about Dad? Do you know what he was doing?
Son: Dad was studying and working at school!
Me: What? That’s incredible! You really did see us! That’s exactly right!
I was honestly shocked.
The reason is that when my husband and I first started living together, he actually went back to school because he wanted to gain more knowledge.
Even our older sons probably don’t know this, because we never talked about it.
He used to go to school and then go straight to work.
It was an incredibly busy life—leaving home at 4 a.m., coming back from work at 11 p.m., barely sleeping, and then heading out early again the next day.
He lived like that for about two years.
Me: So from the sky, you can see everything?
Son: Yes! I can go anywhere I want, anytime!
Me: Really? Like teleporting? That’s amazing!
Son: Yes! I can come here too!
Me: Then… is someone here right now?
Son: …………
He suddenly went quiet.
It happens again.
He just stops talking all of a sudden.
I don’t know why—maybe he doesn’t want to say, or maybe he’s not supposed to say.
It’s a mystery.
There are still so many unanswered questions.
But the fact remains—he knew things we never told him.
It really feels like he must have seen us.
Talking about the sky is always so fascinating.
ある日の夜、いつものように夕食を済ませ、のんびりしていた時のこと。
息子は私の膝にちょこんと座りいつもの日課である彼のお気に入りのMrs. Green Appleの動画を観ていて、夫が休みの日で皿洗いをしてくれている時でした。
いつもなら息子から突然思い出したかのように空の話をしてくれるのですが、
その日は私が気になっていることを質問してみようと思いついたのです。
私: ねえねえ、聞いてみたかったんだけどさ、お空からさ、パパとママ見えてたの？
息子: 見えてたよ！
私: おぉ！そっか！じゃあ問題です！ママは何してたでしょうか？
息子: ママはお仕事してた。
私: うんうん、してた！じゃあさ、どんなお仕事かわかる？
息子: お勉強のお仕事！
-ちなみに私達夫婦は三男に具体的にはお仕事の話をしたことはない。
実際には、私は子供英会話教室の先生をしている。
私: そうそう！すごーい！合ってるよ！じゃあさ、パパは何してたか知ってる？
息子: パパは、学校でお勉強とお仕事してた！
私: え？すごい！本当に見えてたんだね！合ってる、合ってる！すごいねー！
-これは本当にビックリしました。なぜなら、夫は私と一緒に住み始めた頃、もっと知識を増やしたいということで本当に学校に通っていたのです。これに関しては、恐らく長男も次男も知らないと思います。特に彼らには言っていなかったので。夫は学校に通った後に仕事に行く、というものすごく忙しい生活をしていました。学校も実習があったりもしたので朝4時に出て夜は仕事から23時に帰ってきて…寝る時間もあまりないまま、また朝早くに出る…2年間くらいはそんな生活でした。
私: お空からは何でも見えるんだね？
息子: うん！好きな時に好きなところに行けるんだよ！
私: え？そうなの？ワープできるの？すごいね！
息子: うん！こっちに来れるよ！
私: じゃあさ、今ここに誰かいる？
息子: …………
-黙ってしまった。
まただ。なんか急に黙る。これは一体…？言いたくないのか、はたまた言ってはいけないことになっているのか？よくわからない。
不思議だ。
沢山の謎が残るものの、それでも私達が教えたこともない事を知っていたという事実がここにはある。本当に見えていたとしか思えない。
やっぱり空の話はワクワクする🎶
