For now, I will be setting all articles up to
“What He Lost at School, and What We’re Rebuilding” Vol.13
to private.

I sincerely apologize to everyone who has been reading and supporting this series, as I will not be able to continue sharing the story for the time being.

I recently learned that my oldest son has been hearing hurtful comments at school about his past appearance, and there are also misunderstandings and rumors spreading after people read these articles.

Because so many people were reading them, this was an incredibly difficult decision to make.

I originally started writing about our real experiences in hopes of helping others who have gone through similar situations, while also wishing for improvements in public schools and raising awareness about bullying.

However, if these articles begin to negatively affect my son’s school life or create new forms of bullying, then I believe continuing them could put him at risk.

For that reason, I have also made my social media accounts private for now.

I truly hope that one day bullying can disappear not only in Japan, but around the world. Unfortunately, I feel it is best to put this topic on hold at least until my son graduates from high school.

までの記事を、非公開で保存しておきます。

今まで読んでくださった方々には、続きをお伝えできなくなってしまい、本当に申し訳ありません。

理由としては、長男が学校で過去の容姿について悪口を言われたり、この記事を読んだ方々の一部から誤解を受け、精神疾患を患っているなどの噂が広がっていることを耳にしたためです。

本当に驚くほど多くの方々に読んでいただいていたので、とても苦渋の決断でした。

もともとは、同じような経験をした方々の助けになればという思いと、公立学校の現実を知ってもらい、少しでも改善につながってほしいという願いを込めて書き始めたものでした。

ですが、その内容が長男の学校生活に支障をきたしたり、新たないじめにつながる可能性があるのであれば、それは長男にとって危険なものになってしまうと判断しました。

そのため、SNSも同様に非公開にしております。

本当は、日本だけでなく世界中からいじめがなくなってほしいと心から願っています。

ですが非常に残念ながら、それによって新たないじめが発生しそうだったため、少なくとも高校卒業までは、この件については一旦保留にしたいと思います。
